Hybrid Cars

Are you interested in test-driving a hybrid car? Get in touch with us today and we’ll get you booked in.

Hybrid cars combine the benefits of a traditional petrol or diesel car, with the best parts of electric car technology. They can use multiple power sources (some recharge themselves, others plug in to an electric power source at home), and combine a battery pack with a petrol engine. The result is usually a reduction of your car’s CO2 emissions, and an improvement in fuel economy and running costs.

Maybe you are venturing out into the highlands and want to make sure you have the range to get home again. Or perhaps you’re simply pottering around town. Either way, hybrids offer the ultimate flexibility. Even better, they now come in all shapes and sizes – see some of the options below:

Suzuki Ignis

Suzuki Ignis SZ-5 Hybrid

This clever hatchback is called a "mild hybrid", meaning that it uses hybrid technology to improve the MPG of your car. As well as fuel economy, it also helps to reduce our exhaust emissions. This makes it a winner for your pocket AND the environment.

Suzuki Swift Hybrid

Suzuki Swift SZ5 Hybrid

A step up size-wise from the city car Ignis, the dynamic Swift also has the same "mild hybrid" set up. Why not drop into our Inverness showroom, or give us a call to arrange a test drive?

KIA Niro Plug In Hybrid

KIA Niro Plug-in Hybrid & Self-Charging Hybrid

The Hybrid KIA Niro Crossover comes into two hybrid forms (as well as full electric). The Plug-in (or PHEV) option does what it says on the tin, plugging in to re-charge and offering a combined fuel consumption of up to 201.8MPG. The self-charging hybrid is a bit different. Rather than requiring you to plug it in, it charges as you drive, and then uses that charge to improve your car performance more subtly.

MG HS PLUG-IN HYBRID

MG HS Plug-in Hybrid is MG’s third model with an electrified powertrain and our first ever hybrid car. It uses the petrol model’s 1.5-litre turbocharged engine working in tandem with a 90kW electric motor to give an EV-only range of 32 miles with zero tailpipe emissions – plenty enough for most commutes.
