On the Road With Dicksons Motor Group

Get on the road with two wheels - we'll cover your tests and lessons*!

Three years ago, Dicksons Motor Group helped twelve young people get on the road through our On The Road initiative. With over 900 applications, we were delighted to be able to give back to our community and realised there's a hunger for learning new skills and gaining independence.

Now we're doing it again. But this time, we're giving twelve people the chance to do it on two wheels.

This isn't just about commuting.

It's about taking the long way home. It's about finding roads that don't appear on your sat nav. It's about getting outside your comfort zone and discovering that life looks very different when there's a helmet on your head and an open road in front of you.

Too many people experience adventure through a phone screen. We think it's time to have a go yourself.

SO WHAT'S THE DEAL?

BIKEZAR, as part of the Dicksons Motor Group, is helping twelve people begin their motorcycle journey.

If you're successful, we'll support you as you work towards getting your motorcycle license.

Whether you've always fancied riding, have been putting it off for years, or simply want to do something that scares you a little, this is your chance.

We’ll provide support for the CBT (compulsory basic training), Mod 1, Mod 2 and theory test. We’ll also cover five lessons.*

No experience necessary. Just a willingness to give it a go.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

The person who's always said: "One day I'll get a bike."

The person who watches motorcycle videos every night. The person who needs an excuse to do something different. The person who's spent too long scrolling and not enough living.

You can nominate yourself. You can nominate a mate. You can nominate someone who just needs a push. Just make sure the nominee is between the ages of 16 and 30. Please note limitations to the type of motorcyles that can be ridden based on age. Click here to find out more.

HOW TO APPLY

Applications are now open. Click here to open our application form where you can let us know a little bit about yourself or the person you’re nominating and tell us why you think they deserve to get on the road.

When applications close, we’ll go through each one and select twelve people who are ready to get out there, try something new and discover what riding is all about. Because the Highlands aren't meant to be viewed through a phone or windscreen.

They're meant to be ridden.
