Nissan has taken another huge step forward in its electric journey with the unveiling of the All-New Nissan LEAF: a sleek, high-tech electric vehicle that’s proudly built right here in Britain at Nissan’s world-class Sunderland plant.

Originally launched back in 2011 as the world’s first mass-market EV, the LEAF has long stood as a symbol of Nissan’s commitment to innovation. Now, this third-generation model has officially hit the road for the first time in Copenhagen, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in electric mobility.

With its sharp, aerodynamic styling, cutting-edge technology and class-leading range, the All-New LEAF is set to redefine what drivers can expect from an electric vehicle; combining style, intelligence and performance in a way that feels truly future-ready.

Up to 386 Miles of Pure Electric Range

One of the first things to grab attention is the LEAF’s impressive 386-mile range (WLTP). That’s a serious leap forward, making it one of the longest-range electric vehicles in its class… perfect for longer Highland adventures or daily commutes around Inverness without worrying about frequent charging stops.

Available with 52kWh or 75kWh battery options, the new LEAF offers flexibility for every lifestyle. The larger battery version achieves up to 269 miles at motorway speeds and can charge from 20% to 80% in around 30 minutes using 150kW DC fast charging.

And with Vehicle-to-Load capability, the LEAF can even power small devices or camping equipment; ideal for those spontaneous getaways or a bit of off-grid comfort in the Cairngorms.

Designed for Efficiency, Built for Style

The new LEAF has been crafted to turn heads while cutting through the air with ease. Designed in Japan and brought to life in Sunderland, it delivers a dynamic crossover look that’s both stylish and purposeful.

With a drag coefficient of just 0.25, it’s one of the most aerodynamic cars Nissan has ever made and it shows in both performance and efficiency. The clean, sculpted lines, flush door handles, and unique 3D tail light signature give it a bold, modern presence.

Inside, the LEAF’s cabin is spacious, comfortable and ready for family life, with up to 437 litres of boot space, optional roof rails, and a choice of seven vibrant colours including Nissan’s signature Luminous Teal.

Power, Precision and Peace of Mind

Built on Nissan’s CMF-EV platform, shared with the stylish Ariya, the LEAF offers a smooth, confident drive - whether navigating city streets or tackling a twisty Highland B-road.

Under the bonnet, a refined 215hp electric motor delivers instant torque and effortless acceleration, sprinting from 0–62mph in just 7.6 seconds. Meanwhile, advanced driver assistance systems like ProPILOT Assist with Navi-Link, e-Pedal Step, and the 3D Around View Monitor make driving easier, safer and more intuitive than ever before.

Safety is another key focus, with intelligent features such as Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Intervention, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Lane Keep Assist all working together to keep you protected.

Smarter, More Connected

At the heart of the new LEAF’s interior lies NissanConnect with Google built-in, bringing together Google Maps, Google Assistant, and the Play Store for seamless connectivity on the go.

Twin 14.3-inch digital screens create a futuristic cockpit experience, while the NissanConnect Services app allows remote access to check your battery status, pre-heat or cool the cabin, and plan routes with charging stops included.

It’s the kind of clever, connected tech that makes life just that little bit easier, especially when you’re on the move across the Highlands.

Coming Soon to the Highlands

The All-New Nissan LEAF will officially enter production before the end of 2025, with first deliveries expected in Spring 2026.
